Frac CRO: Revenue Growth OS for Fast Growth AI SaaS

Challenge:

A software development company specializing in AI tools for grant writing, fundraising, and nonprofit management, engaged us to provide RevOps strategic advice, support their annual strategic rock review, and establish a sustainable operating system for decision-making and execution. The company's goals included refining revenue strategies, preparing for investor engagement, mitigating technical risks, and improving organizational processes. 

Solution

We delivered a comprehensive set of frameworks, recommendations, and operational tools.


GTM & Revenue Strategy

  1. Strategic Sales Playbook Development:
    • Elevated the need to define growth objectives for 2025, emphasizing their critical role in driving focus and       prioritization. The client has not yet made a decision.
    • Recommended sales channels, methodologies, and KPI       tracking systems, alongside guidance for lead targeting based on TAM, SAM, and SOM analysis.
    • Provided actionable steps for building partnerships   and Alliances to expand market reach.

  1. Pricing and Retention Strategy Framework:
    • Designed a cost-based pricing calculator to model unit costs, target profit margins, and ROI-driven pricing strategies.
    • Delivered a retention strategy framework, incorporating tiered pricing models and competitive analysis. These strategies remain under client review.

  1. Investor Engagement Strategy:
    • Advised on SOM > SAM > TAM analysis for market sizing and equity preparation.
    • Delivered a roadmap for investor pitching and roadshows, focusing on long-term retention strategies. Decisions are       pending client action.


Product Management

  1. Documentation and Compliance:
    • Provided recommendations for documenting system       credentials, solution architecture, and codebase to ensure operational continuity.
    • Suggested robust customer data privacy controls and policy documentation to address compliance requirements.
    • Delivered guidance on risk mitigation systems, though the client has not implemented these steps.


RevOps

  1. Balanced Scorecard & Strategy Map Framework:
    • Developed an operating system to help the client regularly review strategic rocks, track progress, and drive decisions and actions.
    • Leveraged the Balanced Scorecard and Strategy Map       methodology to align strategic objectives across financial, customer, process, and organizational perspectives.

  1. Technology Enablement with ClickUp:
    • Implemented a scalable project management and tracking system using ClickUp, enabling real-time visibility into       strategic initiatives.
    • Configured the system to facilitate regular reviews, accountability, and progress tracking for strategic rocks and decisions.

Result:

The deliverables provided the organization with a structured approach to strategic decision-making, operational alignment, and progress tracking. While many recommendations and frameworks are awaiting client action, the established operating system offers a foundation for ongoing review and execution, empowering the organization to drive decisions and actions effectively.
